The Common Ground Country Fair will celebrate its 50th anniversary this year, running September 25 through 27 at the Common Ground Education Center in Unity.

Hosted annually by the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association, the fair features more than 1,000 exhibitors and speakers and centers on organic agriculture, sustainable living and local economies.

The event runs largely on volunteer power, relying on more than 2,000 volunteers each year to keep it going.
